Internal workshop held with representatives of Norton Abrasives

At Pobis, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting two leading experts from the Norton Abrasives brand, part of the Saint-Gobain Group: Paul Gray, Technical Support and Application Engineer for Industrial Solutions and Fernando Ramirez, Application Engineer for the Non-Woven segment.

This professional workshop focused on gaining in-depth insight into the range and application of Norton abrasive and polishing materials in stainless steel and steel profile finishing processes.

Special emphasis was placed on key industrial operations such as deburring, weld grinding, edge rounding, surface preparation for polishing, satin finishing, and achieving a high-gloss finish.

Premiere presentation of the RazorStar fibre disc

We were especially proud to be among the first to attend the premiere presentation of the new RazorStar FS1190 fibre disc in grit 36+. This product represents the latest generation of Norton’s shaped ceramic grain technology, specifically engineered for carbon steel applications in demanding metal fabrication environments.

The new disc delivers significant improvements compared to existing solutions on the market:

Testing and live demonstrations in real working conditions

Following detailed testing in our production facility in Koprivnica, we continued with three days of on-site demonstrations at our customers’ premises. The products were tested under real working conditions and in specific applications across various material processing environments.

This approach enables us to provide our partners not only with high-quality products, but also with technical support based on hands-on experience and proven results. Continuous education, close cooperation with leading global manufacturers and knowledge transfer to our customers are key elements of our strategy to deliver professional solutions for surface finishing.
